Truth be told, I’ve only ever photographed a handful of maternity sessions in my career. Over the years I’ve obviously focused on engagement and wedding photography! But when one of your favorite past couples ever is expecting their first baby boy, you gotta bend the rules a little bit!

I was lucky enough to photograph Kylie’s sisters wedding my first year in business. Then Kylie and Aaron’s wedding in 2019. So this family already holds a special place in my heart!

I hadn’t even planned on sharing this session on my blog but the weather worked out just perfect for us. We had been waiting and planning for snow. But of course, West Virginia weather can never be predicted. We woke up to just a bit of snow on the ground yesterday morning but I was determined to find us a pretty spot for some snow pictures! I drove around and found one of my favorite fields covered in a light dusting of snow but the trees behind were white!

It snowed on us just a bit during the session. Enough to give us that pretty winter bokeh!

I can’t wait to see these two become parents to the cutest little guy ever.
