COVID changed a lot of plans this year, it cancelled things, it kept people apart – including these two for 354 days – but it didn’t stop love.
Hannah was maid of honor to one of my sweet brides this year. I had followed her and JT’s story for a while and I remember noticing her on a FaceTime call with JT at Courtney and Bryan’s wedding. We watched her hold back the tears as she let him congratulate the newlyweds from Italy.
Hannah had been hopeful for JT’s return home many times and I had been crossing my fingers for them. Unfortunately it was even longer than they originally thought. Hannah and JT decided to get married via zoom while he was still stationed on September 6th, 2020. While this was probably the furthest thing from their original wedding plan, it’s part of their story!
Hannah and JT were so blessed to be able to spend their first Christmas together as a married couple! I squealed when I heard he finally got to come home! We scheduled this session for them right away so they could have some photos to remember this crazy year by.
They even saved their wedding bands to let me photograph the moment the two of them saw them for the first time! We were allowed to use Milan Puskar Stadium for photos as well. It holds a special place in their hearts because it’s where they met.
I love everything about these photos and I’m so happy Mr. and Mrs. Fetty are finally together, even if it is just for a little while!
