Did I just use BEST and 2020 in the same sentence? Yep. I did! While this year was the farthest thing from what any of us had anticipated a year ago, we cannot overlook all the GOOD that happened! It’s easy to get caught up on the bad but I’m challenging you to write down a list of GOOD things that happened this year!
This blog is one of my favorites to put together each year. A compilation of my favorite images from each wedding/session!
I started this year by hosting my first ever Styled Shoot for Photographers in March at 304Collective in Fairmont. Brittany Anne’s helped me pull this off, along with a whole team of amazing vendors. We hosted 12 photographers and it was the most amazing day just before everything started shutting down. 
I met Rhonda + Jacob for their engagement session! 
Natalie + Colton had the most perfect engagement session at Coopers Rock. 
Carly + Alex (and their good boy Cash) ended up postponing their JQ Dickinson Salt Works wedding until July but still decided to elope on their original wedding date in front of Woodburn Hall on WVU’s campus. 
Christan, Drew and I walked around downtown fairmont for their engagement session! 
I met this sweet couple for their Morgantown engagement session: Lauren + Jason 
One of my best photographers friends ever had a micro-wedding including her closest family and friends in May. We will never look at a Corona the same way again, that’s for sure. 
Mike + Melissa had a perfect summer engagement session with their most handsomest boys! 
Nicole + Mark postponed their big wedding at the White Barn at Lucas Farm to November but I still got to photograph their ceremony in July! 
Courtney + Bryan decided to go forward with their wedding in July but cut their guest count. I still think they ended up with the most perfect day and everyone was able to attend safely! 
Alex + Carly finally got to enjoy their special day with friends and family in July! 
Another amazing photographer friend eloped at Harmony Grove Events and I was lucky enough to capture it! 
Christan + Drew were faced with a huge dilemma because of covid just 2 weeks before their wedding. They lost their original venue but luckily Almost Heaven Barn had their date available and all the details fell perfectly into place. 
Tori + Drew not only had to change their original wedding date but also had to change venues. They ended up with a beautiful, intimate day. 
I got to photography Katie + Logan’s first anniversary session. These are two of my favorite people! 
I met Taylor + Ethan, a 2021 couple, for their engagement session! I can’t wait for their big day. 
Lauren + Jason decided to elope and skip their big wedding. We planned a gorgeous styled session for them to remember their elopement forever. 
Haley + Kyle were married and it was the best day ever. 
Our gorgeous cousins were able to have the wedding of their dreams and I’m so lucky to have been the one to photograph! What a special day. 
I met Sasha + Jacob for their engagement session. They will be married next year at Glade Springs Resort. 
Paige + Shane were married on a beautiful September day! 
I met Kayla + Jonathan and their handsome pup for their engagement session. We are looking forward to celebrating their rescheduled wedding next May! 
I met Hope + Connor for the most beautiful engagement session. 
I got to photograph Madison, Bryce and their handsome bubba! We are celebrating their wedding next year in Punta Cana! 
Natalie + Colton picked the perfect fall weekend. Although it was a bit chilly and sprinkled a few times, the color was out of this world! 
I got to see the new Stone House Lavender Barn in Fairmont while photographing Emily + Tyler’s engagement session! We can’t wait to see how the barn transforms for their wedding next June! 
Marley + Casey had the best color ever for their fall engagement session at Black Water Falls! 
Rhonda + Jacob were married! 
Nicole + Mark finally got to celebrate their wedding with friends and family in November! 
And my last session of the year went to Tara + Jon. We explored around Deep Creek. We can’t wait for their White Barn wedding next July!
I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to photograph each of these sessions! Although 2020 was different, there were a lot of good things that happened too. If you were married in 2020, you will surely never forget what that was like. Each of my couples went through and came out of wedding planning through COVID like champs.
We are looking forward to an amazing 2021!
